Psalm 127:3
Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him (NLT)
Prayer
Dear Father, thank you that my child is a divinely orchestrated gift from you. They are a great reward and heritage. Thank you for entrusting me with such a wonderful gift.
Amen
In today’s world, parenting is often portrayed as a daunting task, and children considered burdensome. The ideal time to have children sparks considerable debate, particularly in modern times when we value our independence and freedoms, viewing parenthood as a potential limitation on our social liberties. As a young working mom in my early career, I sensed a stigma around discussing my children and the difficulties I encountered in raising them in the boardroom. How could hosting a playdate for a two-year-old compare to enjoying cocktails with friends on a Sunday evening? In fact, in some industries, having children is often frowned upon, as they are perceived to hinder career advancement, while those without children often find themselves on a faster track to the C-suite.
Yet, God gently reminds me that my children are a tremendous blessing. They are a precious gift and a significant reward from Him, and I am truly fortunate to have them! Leah understood this when she named her son Issachar, meaning "there is reward," and her other son Zebulun, declaring, "God has endowed me with a good gift." (Gen 30:17-20)
Affirmation

God has seen to it to entrust me with this heritage – my child/children.
They are a source of joy and fulfillment.
Because of them, my cup is full and runs over with blessing upon blessing.
