I can’t help but think of Moses, who was rescued from the river by Pharaoh’s daughter and raised in the palace, surrounded by everything wonderful. He must have received the best training, learning all that a king or prince needed to know (Ex 2:10, Acts 7:22). As a parent, I’ve always wanted the same for my children—I want to provide them with the best food, the best schools, and the best medical care.

In today’s world, parenting is often portrayed as a daunting task, and children considered burdensome. The ideal time to have children sparks considerable debate, particularly in modern times when we value our independence and freedoms, viewing parenthood as a potential limitation on our social liberties.

One of the most amusing moments as a new parent was when I eagerly searched for any birthmarks on my newborn. I was so curious to see if he had any unique traits that set him apart from others. My heart raced at the thought of him getting lost in the world, and I longed for some little sign that would prove he was truly mine—
